Autumn in Giverny

Visited Giverny in October & so inspired by beautiful landscape with Autumn Colors that I had to knit this shawl. I love the mixed of KidSilk Rowan & Noro : so light & so warm.

this shawl is knitted from the bottom up.

the Edging is knitted first with short rows techniques to add volume, all in garter stitches. Please alternate KidSilk and Noro to add more shape and colors, it's limitless in term of Colors Combi :) Love it !

Picking stitches from the edging and knit to the up. For this shawl, I picked up 210 sts. But it's up to you, you may pick up more than 210 sts, if you want a bigger shawl. I ran out of yarn, so this one is small, even if I knitted it with Circular needles size 5.00 mm.

For the body, 6 rows of Kidsilk & 2 rows of NORO, all in garter stitches. So it a easy & quick knit :)

Diminutions are made at each side of border every 2 rows
Diminutions in the body every 7 rows and place markers. For this shawl, I have 210 stitches from picking up and divided in 8 sections for diminutions :

6 sections of 25 sts (150sts)
and 2 sections, 1 at each border, for 30 sts ‘302 = 60sts)

and That’s it! ENJOY :)
